Prepaid cards, Orange vs Neteller - which one is the best?

I want a prepaid card, I will be using it for online purchases and eventually to go shopping only! I think the Orange is a good option simply because I know them and I never heard of Neteller before, but Neteller is free and Orange I have to pay £5 (for the card, that is), so I don't really know which one to choose? Any opinions on these prepaid cards?which one is the best?is there any better?
Many thanks x

Can I ask why you would prefer using a prepaid card over a debit or credit card? They are normally much more expensive and come with various fees which you will not encounter with a bank account.0

I have a Neteller card and found it easy to set up and use. I can fund it via my online banking with HSBC at no extra cost.
Don't use it much though as I took it out to avoid Ryanair booking charges and Ryanair have introduced their own prepayment card.0 -
I use orange. No problems and earn points towards pay as you go phone account when my orange contract expires. Free for uk purchases toobb:beer:0

My bank wont give me one (debit card), i've been with them for nearly 8 years, I have money coming in every month, always have money available, but they dont want to give me one, why I dont really know, even when I go to my bank they find it weird how they can't upgrade my account. Basically that is why I want a prepaid as paypal is not accepted everywhere0 -
If that is the case and you have been with the bank for so long i would write to your banks complaints.department about not being granted a debit card. you never know you might get.one. i find that with my.bank it is a lot easier dealing with the complaints department than the branch or telephone staff.0

Why not try another bank? Sometimes the initial check our bank does can hinder you where as other banks wont have access to info more than 6 years old:beer:0 -

I thought about doing that, but its easier for me to just have one account, its ridiculous that I can't get a debit card with my bank!!
Thanks for your reply.0 -
Orange prepaid card is a fraud.
I made the payment and everything. After a week or so, I go an email asking me to send them my proof of id, address etc. Even if I wanted to cancel the application and get the money back, I still had to send in the proof.
Now, I'm on the electoral roll. Have never had a problem applying for bank accounts/credit cards etc. And Orange wants to me call an 09 number to speak to customer services.
Shame on you Orange.
I use the Neteller card for sites I'd normally not use/risk my debit/credit card. And it's been a painless affair.0
