I paid £200 for a jacket only to find after 10 minutes wear it creases like paper and it looks awful. I returned it to the shop saying it was poor quality and unfit for purpose but because it isn't 'faulty' they won't refund my money despite me returning it straight away. What can I do?

You have no statutory right to a refund, so you will be relying on any returns policy the shop may have.
Something like "if you change your mind within 14 days of purchase then return the item for a full refund."
But from what you have said, it looks like there isn't that option.
Is is always a good idea to consider all sales final unless informed otherwise.0 -
It is fabric yes, unsure of what type. It creases terribly. REISS coudn't care less when I took it back. I feel like I have been robbed. Is it unreasonable to expect better quality from a supposedly premium outlet? Primark have better quality clothes and they give refunds!0

First thing I look at is the label to see what it is mae of, thenyou can tell whether it will crease or not. If it was Linen then it will crease if you look at it the wrong way.0

Linen creases, it has nothing to do with quality...I intend to live forever - so far so good0

I have other suit jackets that don't crease and have lasted years. This one creases instantly and just looks a mess. Surely they chose a fabric that looks smart, not awful? Would linen cost £200? Surely not although I am no expert in fabrics.0

Tell them it is faulty and you would like a refund.
It is for them to prove it is not faulty, not for you to prove that it is.
As stated above, you will only get a refund if it is faulty.0 -
"It is for them to prove it is not faulty, not for you to prove that it is." Good advice - will try that with them and tell you what they say. Fingers crossed!0

It could come under sale of goods act "not fit for purpose" or "merchantable quality"0

I am assuming it is linen. If the purchaser was not aware of how linen (a high-quality and sought-after fabric) wears (ie creases on sight), it's not really the shop's fault - otherwise they would make everything from cr*ppy poly-cotton and nylon ;-)0
