Yorkshire ISA - where do I find sort code etc.?

I set up an E-ISA a couple of weeks ago, I did a 'transfer in' to start the account and my existing provider has already confirmed that funds have been sent. As yet I have heard nothing from yorkshire and my online page has not yet shown my transferred funds.

More importantly, I have this year's allowance burning a hole in my pocket. I would like to pay it in but all the details I have are my account and customer numbers - I was rather hoping for a sort code and account number so I can set the E-ISA as a payee in my existing online banking.

Should I be expecting these details in the mail sometime soon or am I missing something?

Thanks

Adam

You'll receive a welcome letter containing...
    Your Customer Number................xxxxxxxxxx
    Your Account Number.................xxxxxxxxxx

For transfers into your account, please use the following details:

    Bank Sort Code.........................60-92-04
..............................................(Nat West Head Office Collection Account)
Account Number (first 8 digits of your A/C number)...xxxxxxxx
    Reference (your full account number)......................xxxxxxxxxx
You should wait for this letter because YBS have a nasty habit of bouncing payments back to the source account if they're not ready for you to send the money (I speak from experience, although not with their ISA).
  • Thank you, that is just the info I needed.

Can't help you I'm afraid, as I opened my YBS ISA with a 'transfer in' from Halifax.

However, if you're asking about paying in cash (for the current years subscription) then I never, ever, send large amounts as an initial transaction. I always send a £1 first to 'test the conduit', before committing to large transfers.
