VGA vs DVI connection?
Comments

If using 1080p or lower resolutions it'll be hard to see the difference between VGA and DVI, DVI doesn't just carry digital signals, if anyone had taken the time to look at the link the OP posted to their graphics card they'd see the analogue signal is in fact coming from a DVI socket. One advantage of DVI is that it supports HDCP copy protection technology although this isn't needed by everyone.0

DVI-D (dual link) is far superior to VGA
DVI is the only widespread video standard that includes analog and digital transmission options in the same connector0 -

I've read this and I'm still none the wiser.
Seems dvi works better with lcd screens?0 -
Notmyrealname - my post is not rubbish at all. I too have had 1600x1200 over VGA into a CRT with no problem, but then with some cheapo, or long, VGA cables, I have seen, with my own eyes, shadowing and flickering. DVI cables don't suffer this problem without stretching to crazy lengths. I also didn't say a single thing about Hz.0
