    I'm 5 weeks in

So, barely started it then. Wait until you are 5 months to be more realistic on timescale.

HI A few months ago Lloyds wrote to me about a couple of loans that i had ppi on and I had successful claims paid out. I contacted them last week and asked them to look at the remaining loans and also credit cards that are linked to my accounts with them. i have received the questionnaire this morning from them. My query is I cant recall how i applied for them if they were online or in branch or over the phone. If I ring them or go into the branch would they tell me? Thanks

How exactly are you complaining that they missold you the products if you can't even remember how you took them?
  • the complaint is based on the fact that at the time I took them out I was in secure full time employment with full sickness benefits etc and it was not explained that the cover was optional or not appropriate given I would receive full sick pay etc for the first 6 months , this is the info that was given in the last successful complaint which Lloyds initially contacted me about. I had no paperwork or details on those at all either.
Overdraft 1 £750- reduce by £50 per month

Is anyone else waiting for decisions from either m&s or Barclays? I'm 5 weeks in and am in the investigations stage with m&s and calculations stage with Barclays

Update - ignore the cynics on the site. 5.5 weeks from 1 call to offer on a loan 17 years old, with no paperwork. Just go for it!
  • I get PPI added on to my credit card bill each month and I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for it but my memory isn't that great!
I've followed Martin's step 1, sent my £1 and got info back from co-op bank (card is an oxfam card but run by co-op).

So now I have a copy of the original agreement I signed. I signed the Credit Agreement bit (dated 10/10/06) but the section underneath Payment Protection Plan is NOT signed. How have I ended up with it on my account? (Is that PPI?)

The original document refers to a paragraph 7.6 but the accompanying terms & conditions are dated 2013 so the reference doesn't match up - and presumably relevant sections have been updated since 2006 anyway?

Can anyone shed any light on this?
  • I made a successful claim for PPI about 2 years ago directly with Natwest and received approx £5000. I have just received a call from a company claiming that I may have received far less than I was actually entitled too and that Natwest and other banks have been slammed for under-compensating customers. Is this true and could I claim for the rest if this is the case? I remember at the time of accepting my refund amount that I agreed to end the claim there and then!!!

You made the claim and were compensated, if you were paid less than you should have, Natwest will contact you I am sure if there was an error.

Claims companies will tell you anything to make a quick buck, keep your hard earned in your pocket.

This is nonsense emanating from CMCs which are getting more desperate for business. You would have signed a full and final settlement disclaimer at the time of accepting the offer. As stated above, if there's an error with the calculation they will contact you but it is unlikely.
  • I have completed my questionnaire form and the bank have sent me another 15 questions in a letter 2 weeks before they advised they would provide me with an answer to my complaint. Is this the norm? Am I obliged to answer these questions given I've answered the questions honestly on the questionnaire?

Decisions will be made on the information available. If you hold back on info that could sway a decision then it can work against you. If you dont respond, they will make an assessment on what they have.
