    I understand thank you
I appreciate your concern for your partner, but the redress is defined and isn't specific to individual cases.
I hope his health has improved since that time...

Unlikely. "Manic Mo" didn't actually pay any PPI!

I find your responses very unnecessarily rude and abrupt. I am a newbie to this forum and there is no need to state cheeky comments. Please do not reply to any of my future posts.

March is three months ago, so you're not a "newbie" at all

(Which doesn't change the fact that you didn't pay any PPI and so don't have a complaint.)

It seems you cannot help yourself but continue to be horrible. Its completely uncecessary and not pleasant reading for anyone.

I have not been rude or said anything to you or about you that is not true.
You may find it "horrible" that you have no complaint, that does not make it any less true.
I fail to see why you are posting any more about it,to be honest.

Personal attacks do not phase me, but if you take exception to my posts (or me) then I suggest you file a report with the moderators for them to adjudicate.

  • Hi All
I recently submitted 2 claims to Lloyds Bank for my PPi for both credit cards and two personal loans as I have a pre-existing medical condition.

My claim on the cards was met and I received over £11,000:j including interest.
My claim on the two loans was turned down.
I reopened the claim and they are now looking into it again but are phoning me up and asking lots of questions about my financial affairs over the last 15 years.
What life cover did I have?
    What savings do I have?
Do I get death in service?
Do I get paid sick pay and for how long and at what percentage of my salary?
    Do I have a pension?

Both of these loans have been repaid in full.

My question is, that as they have paid out on the cards, why are they being so difficult on repaying the loans claim and do I have to keep answering these questions.
None of these questions were asked during the Credit Card claims.
    Are they just stalling?

No, they are re-investigating your complaint as you requested them to. If you fail or refuse to answer any reasonable requests for information then do not be surprised when they come back with another rejection.

Remember that it is not somehow wrong to have insurance, in order for it to be refunded to you it must have been mis-sold. The result of your credit card complaint is irrelevant because every complaint is dealt with on it's own merits (or lack of). Do keep in mind that your loans will likely have been sold by different people and in different circumstances to your credit card.

I suggest you be as co-operative as possible with the Bank's investigation if you want any chance of a successful outcome.

Finally, note that your ability to refer your complaint to the Ombudsman ends six months from the original rejection you received. If the Bank do indeed seem to be stalling then don't leave it too late to refer to FOS.
  • Thanks for the reply.
My main problem is that I don't have records for some of the questions as they were so long ago.
They have the details on the loan application in 2006 (06/06/2006)
as stated in the initial reply but do not mention the date for the loan application made in 1997.
which leads me to think that they are struggling here as I am too.
But I'll await their response before contacting the FOS.

If you don't know or can't provide proof then it won't significantly damage your complaint as long as you've made a valid complaint. What reasons did you give for complaint and what response to this did you receive? Having a pre-existing medical condition is only a valid reason if it meant the insurance would not pay out in the event of a claim.
