Not necessarily. You can reschedule loans before the contractual payment was due, but in circumstances where the borrower anticipates difficulties in making the payment.

A bank loan which was restructured, usually by lengthening the maturity, in order to avoid default.

The OP insists they did not default. Unless the Money Shop itself argues otherwise, I'm inclined to believe them, and not go around chucking rocks at them for my personal amusment.[/QUOTE]

Think you need to wind your neck in - you're quoting me however I certainly have not been doing anything for my personal amusement - exactly the oppostite in fact.

It seems that you are also confusing an actual default notice with simply defaulting on payments. In your first claim you state that a re-schedule can be carried out before the borrower misses a payment which of course is true - anyone can reschedule their loan at any point they want so no real value in that comment. Normal lending criteria would have to be met.

In this instance though the OP stated that following the death of her husband she called in to discuss the loan and it sounds like she was offered an arrangement to pay. Of course all of this is conjecture at this point as the OP has not yet stated what the original payments were supposed to be so we're all guessing based on the limited information we have.
