Getting an emergency fund is crucial so you don't need to put anything back on the cards. The same for 'pots' for vets etc and your budget.
So if your extra £70 clears the card quick enough then yes I'd divert any extra to the places that need it/EF.
Most part of it is at 0%. Last year I accidently went over the limit and lost the promotion which was 0% until August this year. So instead of just ringing them up and asking if they can reinstate on goodwill, panicked and started looking for a new 0% card. Turned out that I got an extra 3 cards!!! I ended up ringing them in the end and they did reinstate the promotion and I got the interest I paid all refunded. This was my Halifax card and the limit was £4,000. But off course I had already done a few balance transfers to a Lloyds card and the Tesco card. I canceled the MBNA card. This resulted in me having more cc debit as I spent more on my Halifax card as purchases are all at 0% until August as well.
I decided to do another balance transfer from Halifax to Tesco but didn't realise I missed the promotion deadline so that transfer has interest on it. That balance is £353.72 and if I continue to pay the £170 end of July and August will see this balance cleared and the rest is at 0%. £1,911.24 of it will be until the end of June 2018 at 0%. This was the recent balance transfers I did from both Tesco and Lloyds plus a cash transfer (needed so to get equipment for DH) and also fees. So will need to work on that after August but only gives me 10 pay months to do that and could leave me paying interest on £211.24 of it. The monthly interest works out at approx 1.5%. They pay off the part that has highest interest to add say the cash transfer amount will have been paid off by then and will only leave the balance transfer amount. This might only result in me paying a total of £4 interest.
The rest of the balance is 0% until 17 January 2020 (last pay month being December 2019, an extra 18 months. I reckon I will still have around £1,200 to pay at the end of the term but I would plan on doing a switch to another card by then.
This is all well and good if I can get that extra £70 a month. It's ok this time of year but come winter I might not make it as anything extra might be for groceries etc.Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%

Morning :coffee:
So the doggie party turned out to be a wash out in terms of the weather. We did do a few games and let the dogs play but we all ended up leaving before we really had to and I am not sure if it was worth £15. Ok, we got more attention from the park owners who organised the games and humans got a cuppa. My wee man loved it though, he was in his element until he got cold. My wee woman is still learning to be social as she is only a year old and she did enjoy it but kept close to me. So I suppose for them it was worth it.
Today is pay day for DH and so far he has handed over £111 and he still has to collect some money. I suppose that isn't bad for not being in two days this week and I am not sure if he will be getting anything done today as it was raining this morning. Although it does look as if it is clearing up and the sun is trying to come out.
So today is the main day for spending as it's grocery day and takeaway night. I have looked at my week ahead and these are the things I plan on doing from now until next Friday. Next week I get paid so can pay off a few more bills. :T

I went straight to Mr Ts after work armed with a list and without DH so that there will be nothing else added. I ended up putting in three items extra which were onions which I needed and two gravy granules as they were needed too and they were 2 for £2. The other saving I made was on eggs I used for making dog food (I'll explain another time). I normally use the value brand 15 eggs but I just need the whites. I always feel guilty throwing out the yolks. So I spotted 5 cartoons of two chicks egg whites reduced from £3 to 75p each. I have now 4 in the freezer and one cooked out ready for me to make up the food tomorrow. Not only does this save me 50p a week but also the time and energy cracking eggs and separating them. The only thing is there is gar guam in them and I am not sure if they are ok for the dogs.
I spent a good bit earlier but will be back after we go for food for an update.Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%

So the weekend wasn't probably the most productive to be honest. Still have a few things on my weekly plan to do. Getting 3 runs in this week will not happen as was so lazy at the weekend I didn't bother going. But need to get back at it as the race is 3 weeks away!
I did do a bit of spending over the weekend but it was mainly groceries. I do most of my toiletry and cleaning products shopping at Superdrug and Coop. I really love that they have no animal testing stance which is very important to me.
I also managed to pot £9.01 into my SP and also £20 on to Christmas Saver. But we spent £18.20 on a takeaway  which wasn't really great in the end. But that is quite expensive takeaway. We don't do that as often and it would be good if I was just cook on a Friday but I do it all week and Friday is my rest. I wouldn't mind if DH would do a bit of cooking but would be starved waiting on that. :rotfl:
I also made a purchase with Curry's for speakers for our iPod. It was something we had money set aside for so really not something we used the weekly pay for.
I am doing the payroll in work today and should be paid on Wednesday. :TBarclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%

So tonight's dinner was left over chicken from the weekend with gravy, peas, onions and chips. I managed to get today's and tomorrow's lunch out of it too.
Tomorrow I am putting on the slow cooker for a sausage casserole. I have all the veg chopped and potatoes cubed ready to be assembled in the morning. We accidentally picked up two bags of frozen cocktail sausages at Christmas and we still haven't got through them. Slow cooker dinner tomorrow is handy with me training.
I have planned fish and champ and left over chilli for Wed and Thurs.
So I managed to finish the crochet cushion and just waiting on the insert to arrive. I also asked the girl that still owes a balance on a cushion to pay up tomorrow when I see her. I'll get £65 in total but plan on putting £15 back into the material pot for future orders. Although putting a new rule in place from now on, payment up front. So I have £50 to put towards the vet bill and getting my hair done.
I am now catching up on non pay crochet items and had a cuppa chocolate and marshmallows. Will be heading off to bed soon as only got 4.5 hours sleep last night.Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%

I have seriously been think about starting one of these but I just feel I want to put every pick of money that I get off my cc. I know this is not ideal considering as it is certain there will be emergencies that will crop up. So I have decided to cap my repayments to cc at £185 per month (with exception of this month which I will pay £190) until the end of June 2018. This will hopefully ensure I don't go into the interest period of the card next year and fingers crossed I can keep at this amount during the winter period with low funds from DH. Anything I get above that I will squirrel away into an EF.
DH has had life long back problems. He has been through a major surgery probably 17 years and we know he will have to have this surgery again sometime in his life. We also found out that he has a slipped disc in his back too which can also result in surgery. So either way there will be a time he will be out sick and thats not ideal when he is self employ. Ideally I would love to have 3-6 months worth of his salary saved on top of the EF incase this does happen and would love to have 3-6 months worth of our salaries combined saved but that would be a long term goal.Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%

The emergency fund is a good idea, even if it is small to begin with.
Ouch to the OH's slipped disc, I had one about 8 years ago and had to have surgery on it.
Your weekly goal list looks good, you've achieved lots this week.
Have a lovely day x0
