I don't think 8pm is unreasonable in a general sense, but if we or the neighbours know it's more than a quick 'putting up a shelf' we warn each other.

  • ........who's friend picks him up from work every morning and beeps his horn outside at 5.30 am to let him know he's there

Now I'm sure there is a law against that! Can't find deatils with a quick google search.

Aha, found it....not sure how it can be enforced mind

Bloody ice cream van comes round past us beeping his horn, at about 9pm, the kids are all in bed, I sometimes wonder if he is selling ice cream or something else??
  • I wish my neighbours only made noise til 8pm!!!

We (me, OH and DS) are woken regularly by the bloke upstairs singing to Spice Girls on karaoke!!!! Not a nice experience, I can tell you!

i wish he lived nextdoor to me lol.........then he'd have the guts to complain about my other neighbour who's friend picks him up from work every morning and beeps his horn outside at 5.30 am to let him know he's there

Now that really p*sses me off when the lazy gets sit on their fat a*ses beeping there horn. If they are in that much of a rush they could get out and knock on the door and therefore waking just that house not every body else.

Yes this is against the law and I'd be having words!
