Getting broadband offers every year

Each year, in order to get cashback, we switch gas/electric providers. Sometimes, the best deal is at the same provider, in which case we change the name of the person signing up between the two of us living in this house, so that it is a new contract. This has worked fine for many years.
My question is this. Does anyone have experience of/know the legalities of doing the same thing with a Virgin Media cable broadband account. We could save quite a bit if we switched the account between the two of us each year, as we could take up the new customer offer each year. Is this legal? Has anyone done it?

This would assume that you are not in a VM contract that has an 18m minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Have you tried phoning up to cancel?
You may get a better deal than as a new customer.0
