I've max'd on this years cash ISA . .should I wait till April 6th before I open . . .

  • Well I opened the fixed rate lloyds tsb isa, can transfer in this years allowance, then decide next tax year if I want to add to it at the same rate or open another one up at better rates and add to that. That was my thinking :-)

    Not quite true. Some providers will allow you to OPEN an account without immediately funding it.

    Halifax did this last year. It's still showing as a live account on internet banking (with £0.00 balance) even though it was never funded. (A better deal came along!)
