I've max'd on this years cash ISA . .should I wait till April 6th before I open . . .
Well I opened the fixed rate lloyds tsb isa, can transfer in this years allowance, then decide next tax year if I want to add to it at the same rate or open another one up at better rates and add to that. That was my thinking :-)
You cant open a 2012-2013 cash ISA till after 6th April, you will have to wait.
Not quite true. Some providers will allow you to OPEN an account without immediately funding it.
Halifax did this last year. It's still showing as a live account on internet banking (with £0.00 balance) even though it was never funded. (A better deal came along!)
