Having problems with Orange Mobile?

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced is from Orange mobile, and I'm currently dealing with a situation which has been going on for 5 months. After many unanswered emails, a written letter, and countless phone calls, today I managed to speak to someone helpful! He was very straight forward and honest, and I hope to have this matter resolved by mid March - if it is I shall be able to write further about it on here.
I just wanted to post this to encourage others in similar situations, and to say don't give up. Don't be fobbed off and don't accept their appalling level of customer service. Be polite, but firm, and there are good people working there who won't hang up on you!
If anyone else is interested in further discussions, check out the Consumer Action Group forum, it has a lot of responses and was really useful to me - PM me for the url, as it won't let me post it here.
I would also like to report Orange customer service to a higher body - who should I contact for this? OfCom? Trading Standards?
Thanks.

If you think Orange is bad have a look at Vodafone

Saying that all networks have problems with custom service
whats good for one person is really bad for the next
I myself have been with Orange nearly 5yrs and not had any problems
with them.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Yeah I've been with Orange for over 10 years on and off, and this is the second time I've had to deal with them. But customer service exists for a reason, there is no point having a 'contact us', 'complaints procedure' or a helpline if no one will give you a proper answer!0
