Reporting benefit cheats.

I'm waiting for my next door neighbour to report me for claiming disability benefits wrongly (she has been moaning about it and threatening to do it to other neighbours for months) for the times she has seen me manage to struggle to put the bins out...I would have the last laugh though, I don't claim any disability benefits and never have although I do have to use crutches full time and do at times have to use a wheelchair.
Mind you, maybe she already has and they have just checked their computers, seen no receipt of DLA etc and ignored it?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Perhaps if more people dobbed in benefits cheats there might be more in the pot for those that genuinely need it. What a quaint expression that is 'benefit cheats', makes it sound like cheating at Ludo rather than stealing money that is meant for those less fortunate, more akin to stealing a charity box off the counter.0

You mean like all the rest of the world's chancers that flock to our shores with bogus hard luck stories?
But this thread isn't about illegal immigrants..... what made you assume from that post fatvonD meant them??
He/She did say 'those that genuinely need it'.

As someone else has already said, my comment was about home grown benefit cheats but it's not escaped my notice that those that would turn a blind eye to home-grown benefit cheats are often the first to be up in arms about immigrants claiming benefits.
Btw, OP, if you haven't already I'll happily report them for you and then you can say without one word of a lie that you didn't do it if you're ever asked.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
My ex partner worked whilst living with a girlfriend who was on income support, housing benefit, you name it. I reported it online...nothing.
I then wrote a letter to DWP pretending to be her, reporthing "my" change of circumstances.....nothing.
He's now moved in with a new girlfriend who has 6 kids, all on benefits, he's still working. I shant bother reporting it this time.
What really annoys me is that any child support I was going to get is going to go down to £0 based on the 6 kids under that roof even though they aren't is, yet as far as the DWP are concerned he's not living there!! Make your mind up England!
You gave me a fright there, I thought you met my ex as well!
Same situ she has 6 children, they now have 1 of their own, and all those children take priority over my child, she should thee father (s) of the kids to pay.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I have a friend who claims to live on her own and claims as a single parent when in actual fact her husband has a great job. She gets a fortune and it grates on me that she is getting away with it but i would never report it as i couldnt live with the guilt.
They have a great life, lovely house, new car each, holidays every year. These are the type of people who deserve to be caught but as i said could not live with the guilt.:mad:0 -
I can't believe people sticking up for benefit cheats. Saying things like "mind your own business" and "live and let live" are just astounding.
I'm sure most people reporting are doing it for the wrong reasons.
It wouldn't surprise me if most of the reporting was done by the malicious and the stupid over things that don't really matter which is in contrasting to people definitely committing fraud like working full time and then pocketing a load of benefits on top of it.
If people really were interested in frauds an cheats getting their comeuppance then they would start with the DWP itself then move onto other organisations.0 -

Why should you feel guilty? You should let the benefits department decide if there's been any fraud committed.
It annoys the hell out of me that elderly people go without heating - some of whom fought for this country - when they could possibly be getting extra if the !!!!less weren't stealing benefits.

I don't normally reply to threads like these as they wind me up, I cannot understand all the replies of 'karma' and live and let live!
As a tax payer i see no reason why someone should not be reported if suspected of benefit fraud, it is mine and your money for goodness sake! there is no government bank!
I would have reported a friend of OH's if I could have found out his address, he was on the sick with a bad back but working cash in hand for a friend fixing boilers, etc
What annoyed me the most that all those friends of OH and his did not think anything wrong with what he was doing
So yes if I had enough details I would report someone, why not! I work shifts 12 hours at weekends special occasions sometimes ruined because I cannot attend, work Christmas etc, so no why should I fund someone to commit fraud?0
