spent £1.59 in l!dl on milk and creme fraiche - i used the creme fraiche to make leek, smoked bacon and blue cheese pasta (with castello) which was lush. i can highly recommend sainsbobs cooking bacon, its got plenty of huge bits of smoked bacon and only £1.09 for 650g.

spent £11.53 in Mr T on yellow sticker bread and some treats for DVD nights.

got an internet shop coming tonight from Mr T using my extra points and the latest price drop MOC's plus a conditional spend voucher that came through the post. I'll add it to my total later though when i know the amount it comes to.

went in b00ts yesterday and nearly bought shampoo and conditioner on offer at £7.50 for both and sanctuary face mask for the freebie....checked my card and only had 40 points left (thought i had more) so abandoned my basket when i realised i had nearly spent £20 on stuff i didnt need!!!!!

the good news....since doing the GC, even though i went over budget twice, i have saved £350 (what the heck was i buying caviar?!?!?!?!)

  • Hi All

Went to Mr A on way home from work on Friday £30.38 and then £3.87 in Mr T spent on a few bits that Mr A didn't have on Friday!

Bit more than I would've liked to have spent during the first week but did include a few things that we don't need every week such as icing sugar, kitchen roll and a few cleaning bits.

Bought own brand Mr A cat biscuits so we'll see whether the cats eat them or turn their noses up at them. To be honest the one cat could live off his own fat reserves for a few weeks :rotfl:

Funeral is all arranged now for Friday and we are starting to slowly get back to normality now (or as near as possible)
Have updated my sig and I have to say posting on here is keeping me sane you are all so very kind.
Going for some shopping today (first day DH has felt up to it) and am planning HM soup and bread for tea with rice pud and fruit to follow. Still using up the lentil mountain so it will be lentil and bacon soup:)

    Hi All,

I did a Mr. T shop on Saturday and it came it at £75.79 but I did buy 18 toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets for the 2nd week running as they are on special offer so I'm stocking up. If it was a normal week the shop would have been £63 :j

I have meal planned for the week although the joint I bought for last Sunday never got cooked as we ended up eating out :o so that needs to find a space in my freezer.

This weeks dinners were / are:

Sun - Beef joint - roast
    Mon - HM Spag Bol
    Tues - Chicken Fajitas
Weds - Fish & HM chips
    Thurs - Gammon & Egg
    Fri - Sausage & Mash

Hi there, Im thinking of changing my spending strategy, what I normally do is when I shop I put everything on my debit card but this month I have decided to take an amount each week out of the bank so yesterday I took out £50 for a shop at Tescos which after multibuys, coupon use and Mocs got my shop down from £68 down to £23, I will be buying OH fish and chips on Thursday which will take my spend up to £27.80 leaving me with £22.20 which I will spin out until next Monday and if I have any left am going to start a second purse, which Iv been wanting to do for a while. What does everyone else do and which works best Cash or debit card grocery shopping??

Approved foods order came yesterday and rather blew my budget. I tend to order a lot to make it worth the postage and then end up with a load of carp!

SEVEN (ok that was a mistake, I didn't order that many!) tins of creamed corn
9kg of pancake flour (lucky the boys are loving pancakes at the moment)
48 (another mistake) sachets of thai red curry paste...

the only truly useful thing I bought was loo roll as I stopped shopping at tesco so can't get thir springforce one any more.
