Monday 27th Feb - What small DFW things will you be doing?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:money:
Goooood morning everyone:)
So, that's my birthday weekend over...here I am starting the week as a grown up now, well I am 40:rotfl: Grown up though?! One day;)
I had a lovely weekend - thank you for all the good wishes:A Lots of eating, no cooking - sounds good! And some fab pressies.
Still, back to normal now. Here's my list for today:
Hope you're all well - have a great day:beer:

Ok today my plan is:

[STRIKE] Drive economically trying not to have my foot to the floor all the way... That means leave in good time (in 6 minutes!) so I'm not rushing!!![/STRIKE]
Go to the gym after work. Have promised myself I use it or lose it... if I don't go at least 3 times/week it gets cancelled!!!
Try and just have the heating on for an hour this evening.
Ok that's me! Good luck everyone!!!
Update: Failed after work going to the gym!!! Was sooo tired! Also - just realised the heating has been on since I got home... totally forgot <but am nice and snug!!!> Ah well... there's always tomorrow!!!

Morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend! Happy Birthday for Saturday Pixiechick!
Had a pretty MSE weekend (by my standards anyways!) printed off some old tesco club card vouchers I didn't know I had and used them for petrol :-) just to tie me over until payday! Still don't understand how I use £70 a month (I travel to work by train everyday so only use it on the weekend!)
Ok today I will:

- check one poll - done, nothing! :-(
- lunch from home :-) pastabake! Yum!
- 2hours studying - only did 30mins at lunch.. Need to catchup tomorrow!
- cinema tonight (free screening) - just printed out a voucher for free popcorn! :-) - cant believe how cheap tonight was! Cinema and popcorn for free!
- LSD (will go at lunch to get some cinema snacks!) - done
Have a good day everyone! X x0 -

Happy, happy birthday Pix! Glad you got some good pressies and a nice weekend.
Perni what are all these wedding related tasks? You make engagement sound like hard work
I'm trying to pull through to payday without withdrawing more cash - nearly there! Made a big veggie chili last night which fed four and will do so again, so shouldn't be going hungry. Roommie has offered to make risotto tonight and Im about anther quid away from shakshuka ingredients, so really should be fine foodwise until the end of the week.
Had a bit of a late start today as had some trouble getting out of bed (ehem) then got to the living room to discover the dog had been sick all over the floor (bleh!). Did some quick work with the spray bleach and I think we are back in business.
Anyway, today:
- bike to work and everywhere I need to go today
- lunch provided by work
- follow up on expenses I'm owed (Im about £100 out of pocket and it hadnt landed in my account on friday)
- catch up on business stuff with boy tonight - need to add a new employee on our cash flow! eek
- leftovers for dinner or risotto if roommie feels like cooking
Happy monday survival, all!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
Taking my frugal life on the road!0 -
Morning all,
I'm still desperately trying to get myself back on track with regards to mse, housework and life in general. I'm just about recovered from the trauma of last week but it's left me playing catch up with everything else going on.
Here's todays list:check bank and finally transfer my teeny lotto win into my savings.
hopefully nsd
back on the diet bandwagon. Log calories and make sure I have food from stores only.
flylady level 2 minimum.
mark 10 books minimum.
prepare for my observed lesson this Wednesday (my confidence took a knock last week so dreading this).
check for surveys.
I can't think of anything much other than I have more to do than there are hours in the day. So apologies if I'm quiet - I do need mse to keep me on the straight and narrow but at the moment I might just be too busy trying to reclaim my real life.Ninja Saving Turtle0
