Welcome to all the newbies :wave:Nottoobadyet wrote: »Perni what are all these wedding related tasks? You make engagement sound like hard work
I am surprised at how much work there is actually!! All I will say is that if & when you get married, keep it small & don't worry about offending people! I honestly wish we'd gone abroad now, or kept it to about 60 people for the day rather than 80...
I have this on my list everyday to try & ensure I do something, no matter how small - it might be 5 mins looking at wedding cakes to try & decide on a pattern or it might be a few hours designing invitations, but I try to do something every day now as I feel there is so much to do still with only just over 4 months to go! It really doesn't help when everyone & their dog tends to have an opinion on what you should & shouldn't do & isn't afraid to voice it, & when you massively underestimated the costs...I never knew flowers could be so expensive! Half the time I'm just double checking the budget & ensuring we have the money for it!Narrowly missed seeing a suicide this morning man jumped off the bridge outside the window of my office:(
Omg, so glad you missed that! Still not nice to know it happened so close...we had a jumper on the multi storey outside my window but was also lucky enough to miss it! I am sooo glad I was not there that day.Good afternoon, it’s horrible and wet here today.

Today I have/will
Check banking - done
Check Ebay - done (have some bids - yay!)
Write at least one $16 article
Check TCB - done
Buy Daily Mirror as someone said there is a £5 Tesco voucher to be had
Meals from stores
Heating off
At least one paid survey
Have a great day!
Sally x
Have done all of the above apart from the article and the survey (saving these delights for the evening!0
I have also:
Used the £5 Tesco voucher to buy things in the sale -- 2 pairs of boots for next winter for me (I am a dog walker so get through a lot of boots LOL!) - should have cost £23 for two pairs but came to £7.50. I got some boots for £4 (reduced from £19) for DD who has been going through a growth spurt and also some birthday presents for my Dad -- jacket £4 down from £9 and shirt £4 down from £8. Bought two 2kilo bags of GoCat Complete for £3 each (they are £4 each everywhere else, even when on offer). I also bought a slow cooker for £12 (been flirting with getting one ever since reading these boards) - not reduced but I consider it a DFW investment - as well as some chews for the dogs and a cucumber for the guinea pigs. The full price of everything would have been £81.69 and I paid £35.09 after using the voucher. Not bad as it was all stuff I was going to buy/needed anyway.
Popped int £land to get packaging bits for my Ebay sales and chanced upon a slow cooker recipe book while there.
That's about it for today
Enjoy your evenings and big hugs to anyone who is feeling down.
