It happens like that sometimes. The watchers could have found your items cheaper elsewhere or more what they were looking for. Sometimes watchers forget they're watching and don't take notice of when the auction finishes and lose out that way.

If you only put them on this Sunday does that mean they're finishing next Sunday? I don't tend to get bids until a day or two before the auction ends, even if there's lots of watchers.

.....but ditto what susplum says. Also if it's something unusual they could be people who are selling something similar to you and want to see how much your items go for.

it always tends to happen that way, i put some items on on Sunday and so far only 2 have bids on, one item a 12-18 month dress has 10 watchers??
its only up for 99p plus postage
the majority of bids you will get near the end
  • I've had quite a few good sales in the last few days, but most items were without bids until the last day or so of the auction. I've also had items in the past with several watchers end with few or no bids, so you'll just have to wait and see, but generally, loads of watchers tends to mean a good chance of successful sale.

The way it works is this....... you have to pretend you don't need the money, that way you will make loads.... money comes to money!!!!

I am skint and really need £250 for a new sofa..... I have made £4 so far! :(
If it doesn't sell try changing item total ...reducing postage......

    Good luck!!

  • ... and I'm not even humming yet!!!!!!:D

I was in despair yesterday looking at my heap of potential E-bay wares and decided, after a really bad listing week when I'd only just recouped my expenses of listing and broke even, that a boot fair would be the way to go ... just put off by the weather at the moment!

As I'm off this week for half term I decided to give it a final go and listed 61 items on the cheap listing day yesterday .... and I have 7 bids already :j .... so my faith is restored and I feel enthused enough to revisit the pile that now has bootfair written all over it and see if there really isn't some stuff that can go on E-bay after all!!

Dont' give up - you just never know!!!!!:D

  • I haven't listed on eBay for a while....but I do find that having listings end in the evening and on the weekend increases bids as most people are home from work etc.
