open fire or stove with backboiler?

Hi there,
Just wondered if anyone outhere can give us some advice or their thoughts please. We have an open fire with backboiler (Dunsley superclean) which is extremely efficient and heats the whole house (6 bedrooms) and the water. We love this fire, but the only issue is the draft which is so bad that it is difficult to shut the door because of the suction and at times it lifts the carpet up when whisteling underneath the door. We have thought about replacing the open fire with a boiler stove; the Stratford inset 12 HE ecoboiler to stop the draft, however are worried this may not be as efficient. Is this a case of "don't fix what isn't broke" and live with the draft, maybe put in some fire doors, or would replacing it with a stove boiler be the right move? Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.

It will work out cheaper to fit heavier doors TBH.
You like the output of the fire you have, it warms your rooms great and does what you want. If you fit a stove in, you wont get as much radiant heat into your room, more condusted/convected heat. You also have the initial cost of buying/installing.
Have a look at seeing if a more restrictive cowl on the roof stops some of the big draw you are getting. You have to be mindful that if it is too restrictive, then you will end up with spillage of fumes into your room, which may be lethal. Speak to your sweep.
A stove would be more efficient than the fire you have, but wnt give you the 'oommph' that an open fronted fire gives you.0
