Bathroom cleaning cloths dilema

disposable wipes or toilet roll for the loo. A cloth for cleaning which gets cleaned and left todry.:footie:0

The only cleaning implement which lives in my bathroom is the sponge for doing the bath after use. All other cloths after they've been used for cleaning jobs go straight in the laundry-basket. I can't be doing with damp cloths and rags hanging around making the place look untidy.0

Blue for the loo, pink for the sink (and bath and shower
) I do a microfibre/rag wash about once a week. I'll leave them over the edge of the dirty laundry basket until they're dry and then I can put them in the basket (as they'll get smelly or musty if they're left damp in the basket). I use them once and wash them. I never have dirty cloths lying waiting to be used again. I have loads of cloths though so I never run out. 0 -
I use old tea towels, cloths and sponge scourers that have been used in the kitchen then once they're past their best they go into the bathroom. It's handy having the airing cupboard to dry things out of sight.
I use old kitchen scourers for the bathroom as well. They're usually discoloured because I often bleach them after i've used them in the kitchen. I don't feel bad for throwing them out afterwards.0 -
I'm afraid I do bung them behind the sink and loo.
I use old microfibre clothes for bathroom and loo, seperate ones for the loo.
Wipe around the bath every morning with Tesco's Daisy bathroom spray then bung behind sink. (I've got a "thing" about a clean bath).
Every few days they get washed with whatever else needs washing. I think everything goes on 40 degrees.
Nothing ever gets washed higher than that, unless OH has oily overalls.0 -
I put some savlon liquid in with the conditioner and now hardly ever wash anything above 40.0

I buy baby wipes in bulk, and use those then you can throw them away!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

As we do all our wash on 40 i boil (on the stove) with a squirt of washing liquid along with flannels, then hang on the line.20*25 for 2025: 489 / 5000

When I read that, I was immediately transported back 30 years in time and could clearly smell the smell of boiling clothes. My mother did a boil wash every week and used Rinso - I can still see the box!DundeeDoll wrote: »As we do all our wash on 40 i boil (on the stove) with a squirt of washing liquid along with flannels, then hang on the line.
Well, that was a blast from the past, thank you :T.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

My bathroom routine is a daily wipe round with the facecloth i have used after using it, which is then thrown pon to a pile to HOTwash. I use blue for bathroom cleaning cloths (more than one, i seem to get through loads of clothes, mainly microfibre for jobs other people manage well with one!) for a regular, weekly, deeper clean. All my cleaning cloths are hot washed because they all fit in the hot wash and if i am putting it on i might as well put it on full!
Cloths hanging about are offputting, and i think probably pretty unsanitary. There is one sponge in a cupboards under the sink just in case. Also, my cats come in and out of the barthroom window, so each time i am in there if needed i wip their path...window, wondow sill and sick, with a little loo roll for appearences...it is not germ free, but looks better than a muddy sink.0
