Payday Express have taken all my money!!!

I gave them my card details again because I wanted to pay them back! I wasnt given the option of the account number thing and it actually didn't cross my mind.
Sorry you don't have to 'give card details' to be 'paying someone back' plenty of other ways to pay and enough stories flying about of people having their account touched to scare the living daylights out of someone surely, and, no doubt there will be others out there wondering 'why didn't I just ask for a refund' when they to encounted your recent problem !
Hope asking for their bank details has now occured in the same way you've asked for a refund on this second occasion? and for your own sake your keeping things in writing to0 -
I have an agreement to pay the Money Shop £25 per month which has been going smoothly for several months.
I receive a text reminder every month before payday and received one yesterday.
This morning they had taken the usual £25 but also cleared out £700 in 2 lots of £425 and £275. I rang several people and went in the shop only to be told it was because they had a new policy to ring Head Office every month and I didn't reply to their text! I was never informed about this new policy.
I cannot survive this month with all that money gone and I am still waiting since 10am this morning for a manager to ring me back.
Anybody have any suggestions please I am so desperate.
p.s. Please don't start on the don't use PDL story as I am very well aware of that now.
Thank you0 -
Don't lose hope, getting a refund obviously worked for jojo with one of their associates so it may happen for you too failing a telephone call which you should be recording if you can, write a letter of complaint to the Money Shop/Head Office and report
Demand chargeback through your bank
All stuff already on this thread...
"Payment plans" with these types of companies can be as crooked as they come the plans are how some make profit, they are actually far worse then the 'payday' loans itself0 -
Thanks very much for your support keepcalm. I started a new thread about this and whilst some people were downright rude I also got some good advice from National Debtline who jumped in.
I still haven't spoken to their manager! but although the funds are still showing as 'taken from my balance' they haven't actually been applied for today so I intend to kick up another fuss today.
I am going to OFT, FSA and their charity 'Starlight' who incidentally help children and whilst mine might starve this month they may be interested!!!.
Thanks again0 -
god these companies are a total pain to everyone, friend lost 79.00 to a company post is on here, that company is under investigation, from the company that owns it [its a bloody mine field so many copanies owning different smaller ones]
they have i think its 4 weeks up date which they have to write giving there progress then again at 8 weeks giving the out come or the ombudsman gets involved
its a long time waiting for money, espicaly when you make a mistake, they see fit to remove it all.
it makes you feel sick and stupid.
just keep your head things will work out.0 -
Got an e-mail this morning saying the manager will ring me before 1pm today as a matter of urgency! 24 hours ain't too rushed in my books but hey-ho.
I replied saying I hope so as I have a planned called with Starlight at 1.30pm and then I'm off to the press.
thanks for all the support x0 -

Fergie42 and jojo how long did it take you to get your refund because I've been waiting for about four days now and nothing. Thanks x0
