Manager docked wages

Do they have a sick pay scheme at this place..?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Small shop, this manager is the owner as well.0 -
Kick up a fuss, lose your job or at least take a step backwards in going forwards.
As stated, get a new job with better benefits and a more professional manager / owner.
Your owner is wrong on so many levels but if he is really worried about £10, his business must be dying on its feet.0 -

The thing is, its not
every week he kicks up a fuss about how bad the business is doing, yet we have slashed costs year upon year whilst increasing turnover/profit.
Distance selling regulations state the business should absorb the cost of the returns, not the staff members.
A while back I also had £200 taken from my wages after somebody commited card fraud on our website, (this was taken over 2 months), he said we should have checked the transaction in more depth HOWEVER he was unwilling to pay for the automatic card-checking scheme that our payment processor offers for 2p a transaction.0 -
£200 they are taking the urine.
How long ago if the last payment reduction was less than 3 month you could still put in a claim.
Double check everything from now on
everything looks dubious
Take time.
Move on.
What would it take to set up in competition if this is a profitable business.0 -

Yeah, because there are so many jobs going begging at the moment.
OP - you either have to make a stand or suck it up. If he's done it before and you know he will do it again - and you know if you do make a fuss you will likely lose your job, and then you will be losing more than £10.
Better work with him to improve the procedures? Might serve you all better in the long run.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
If he can not keep his hands out of the wages, is that really a job ?
£200 for card fraud.
The owner is a common thief .Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Maybe you should refuse to send anything out or approve any orders unless he looks at everything himself, and get him to sign something to say that its approved by him, every single time.
And in the mean time look for a new job! What a disgusting manager.0
