After our split, the bit I found hardest was not having someone to share things with. I went away just for the weekend and cried all the way there! But it was a rite of passage which had to be done and it's fine now. The only thing that I still find a bit tricky is evening meals. Especially if you are a single female surrounded by couples.:( I'm afraid I sometimes take refuge in a book. The other thing is unwanted male attention which is worse in some countries. That said I was once approached by a lone horseman on the Carmargue. As he galloped towards me it all felt a tad Gone with the Wind. As he got closer and closer I didn't know whether to feel worried or excited. Was my virtue safe? Finally he rode up to me, took one look, turned round and galloped back. Sigh...
