Can you put in the coins into Tesco self service machine then pay the balance on a credit card ?

Can you do this with the new in store hand-held computer shopping now working in our local Tesco store ?

If I have too much change in my purse I use the self service but not in Morrisons they are the slowest machines ever!

1 - Yes, I did this last week, had something stupid like 8p left over after emptying my wallet of coins (leaving some pound coins which I needed to keep for parking), and put the 8p onto my credit card

2 - Probably.

I tend to use the self-service tills to get rid of change, only if it's quiet & it's a machine with a hooper (rather than the 1-coin at a time version). Best way to get rid of loose change.

The self service tills in Morrisons are like that, really annoying putting 1 coin in at a time.
