Can anyone help. My mums iphone4 has this message. "Not enough storage. This iphone cannot be backed up because there is not enough icloud storage available. You can manage your storage in settings."
So I've switched off icloud in settings as we don't want to buy any storage. I need to get the photos off her iphone - they are on her pc but they aren't on a stick or a disc as a back up so I don't want to delete them off the iphone yet until I know we've got a safe second copy. How do you keep big photo albums on an iphone? What would people reccomend I do to get a second copy when they are on the pc - should I get an external hard drive, an internet storage facility, memory stick or cd or anything else? Is this hte right board or should I post on the techie board? Thanks a lot.

You are limited to the storage available on the phone, whther it is 8, 16, 32 or 64Gb. You share this with all the apps etc. It may be safer to pay for iCloud for a month or so just to get the back up and secure the safety of the inages. Once backed up from the could, you can cancel.0

To get the photos off your mum's iPhone you simply need to connect it to the computer and use My Computer (assuming Windows) to copy and paste the photos to somewhere on her PC. Then you can burn them to disk/stick them on a flash drive/do whatever with them.0 -

You can set iCloud to sync different things. Go and have a look at the iCloud setting on the iPhone, go to manage storage to see what's using up all the space.
To save them long term personally I'd get them printed. For suggestions for electronic storage, the Techie Stuff board might be a better place to ask.0
