I've had the PlusMembership for 10 months now, and had to use them last November when my car's battery died. Rang their local UK number (they give you a contact list for all European countries), and it turned out to be the AA European roadside assistance centre in France (in Lyon?) - they then put me through to ADAC call centre in Germany, they confirmed my location and the location of the nearest AA van (arrived within 20 minutes). The AA mechanic didn't even ask for my ADAC membership card.
