    Morning all,

Nice day here, got some washing blowing on the line, wont be doing much more today as I have woken up with a raging sore throat and headache, so will take it easy today, was going to go and see dad, but may have to rethink that one.

Soup and read for dinner, soup is already made and out of the freezer, so nice and easy, just need to walk the dog later on.

    Have good days all xx
  • Morning chums,
weather turned gorgeous again here in Kent. DGS Ben is going to clean my car in exchange for a little cash .He is off to a party tonight so needs to get a couple of beers to take with him.He only buys Budweis*r lights as they are the only ones he likes and doesn't like to go empty handed.DGS Danny comes hom from NYC on Sunday night I have had a couple of texts from him and he seems to be enjoying himself.
Gentle Jack had a lovely birthday and I survived the Do*ino's Pizza's(I'm not keen on pizza really) but the HM chocolate cake was delicious.
Right I am off for some coffee Hope eeryone has a great weekend and the sun shines down on you all.

    Hi folks

Thought I'd pop in after weeks of lurking! :o

I've been following SW since January which has encouraged me to do more cooking from scratch. Made loads of soups for lunch, pasta dishes & crustless quiche etc. Lost 10lbs so far so not bad.

After the mouth ulcer fiasco at New Year it appears I have excess calcium in my blood so could have hyperparathyroid gland  More gtests next week.

Washing blowing in the breeze so off into the sunshine now to take DM shopping in our local town. Hoping to pick up lots of fresh food on the market.

Hope the weather holds so I can make a start on the garden tomorrow then a night out to see Paul Carrack with OH & DS.

Enjoy your weekend everyone & hugs to all those in need.

    Afternoon everyone

HH - where are you, hope you're ok? x

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Dry, bright but a bit chilly here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Washing out and blowing nicely.

Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket potato, beans/veg was scrummy as always. On-line shop arrived and joint looks ok but not as big as I ordered so won't have any leftovers so will need to do a re-think for Tues evening, but did buy some chicken goujons so menfolk can have those and I'll have mushroom omlette and salad - sorted. Will cook the roast later. I've got on with the jobs I didn't get done yesterday - cooking/baking and will iron once it's dry enough. DH has also decided that we're going to the garden centre later to check out the gardening bits so I can start getting organised for my greenhouse and veg patch!

Was reasonably organised yesterday and did get the housework done yesterday so don't have too much to do today and did get an hour with a coffee to watch catch up tv - Call the Midwife - excellent programme. Lunch was sandwiches, crisps etc for boys, carrot soup for me.

Have a good weekend everyone x

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Redruby I hope you feel better soon x

It is lovely and bright today and I have a load of washing on the line.
Bread dough is proving, quiche is made (I had to use up some single cream that goes out of date today), and I am off to make some cakes in a little while.
DD is at her BF's and probably won't be home until Monday.
DH is doing some bits on the car, getting it ready for the MOT on 8th March

Dinner tonight is quiche, salad and wedges.

I see what your problem is - too many "h" letters in your post. What you need is wine, wine, wine. :D

Went to the F&V market with Mr LW, for the first time in months and months - it was chilly, but not too bad. Mr LW wanted to go to the pub after, but I said no, as we'd be there all afternoon if we went, and not get any of our tasks done. Aren't I a mean wife?:D

Been trying to get some general purpose furniture polish (Mr Sheen type of thing) in a trigger bottle as opposed to an aerosol - can't get anything anywhere! Have they stopped making them? If so, does anyone know something I can make up myself, perhaps using essential oil of some sort, that I can put in the empty trigger bottle, to pick up the dust and make the room smell nice? I loathe and detest aerosols!:o
