OS Daily Thread Saturday 25th Feb 2012

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 25th Feb. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

  • Morning all

    You all having lie-ins again?!

Lovely looking day here, sunshine for first time this week.

I'm waiting on the people to collect the faulty WM, then off to have my hair cut. And then this afternoon I'm off to the pub to watch the rugby (Wales v England). I'm really looking forward to having a few drinks :D celebrate handing in uni work and starting my hols :D

OS wise - dishes washed, LO spuds will be used for breakfast shortly, kitchen tidied,

    Have a great day all

    Morning :hello:

Miss tru had a 6am start at work, mr tru has just left for work, he's dropping off master tru who has a couple of private jobs today. So I have the house to myself :j

I'm feeling a bit rubbish this morning so I'm going to do a bit of yoga then jump in the shower, where I will be head-to-toe Soap And Glory-fied :D

Not much going on here. We've planted loads of seeds, they're in propagators on a plastic shelving unit in the kitchen. It's a bit annoying, it's blocking one half of my french doors. Forgot the tomato seeds  so I'll have to nip out and buy some. The girls are laying 10 eggs per day, so I'm making a bit of money from those. I've clipped all the girls wings but the two Columbines are still escaping :D I won't be laughing when they're on veg patch in the summer.

Ssshhhh, you must all be sleeping!!

    Morning All
Grey and miserable here at the moment so will have to put the washing on the airers. Went out yesterday to check that the bedding hadn't blown off the line and the line had snapped. Had to wash it all again.
Just given the worktops another coat of oil, it takes so long to dry. The kettle is in the hall and the microwave in the middle of the kitchen floor!
Chicken for tea, not sure what with yet but there's only me to please today.

    Take care. XX

I blame the salt rinse ;-) hope you're feeling better soon tru. According to scientists the ideal length of shower is 4 mins. Chap on radio dint say best for what. My bath will be considerably longer and i will start my next library book.:T

    Morning everyone,

    FB Yes, I was having a lie-in!

Tru hope that you feel better soon.

Dundeedoll hope that your tongue is a little less sore.

Hugs to LW, Molly, Sunflower, Julie and Bossymoo.

Taplady and Miffy we went walking in the summer along Offa's Dyke and we stayed the night in a lovely hotel in Tintern, it is a beautiful place.

    Lacemaker welcome.

Julie I am sure that your friends are thinking of you and will come round soon.

Bargainbird One of our chickens, Elsie, always used to escape, we kept finding her in next doors garden!

Haven't been on for a couple of days as work has been really busy.
We have an HMI in for 2 days next week to look at our department and everyone is getting really stressed. I have been really impressed by the way we are all helping each other with ideas and alterations for our lessons, it makes it feel so much easier.

OH has gone walking up Kinder Scout for the day with his footballing friends so me and the kids are having a lazy start.

DS had a few friends round last night to celebrate his birthday, I have never seen so many pizza boxes (bought with a half price coupon of course!)

Today I have to go the supermarket and I am seeing a good friend for a cup of tea.

Tea tonight is stew and dumplings, thought OH would be hungry after his walking.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)
  • Good morning all.
It's a beautiful morning here, going to cloud over this afternoon though. Have hung one load of washing out, another load now being washed.
Have been shopping. Got my friends daughter an outfit for her baby, he was born yesterday. He is just the cutest little boy. Our sainsbobs have 25% off all clothing at the moment, so was an ideal time to buy.
Chicken, chips and salad for tea tonight.
Will be making a cake and sausage rolls at some point. Hubby has work tonight so he is in bed. May get the ironing board out and make a start on the mountain of ironing.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.
