Do you get a solid connection when using your iPhone headphones?
If no chances are the iphone socket is dirty, you could try cleaning it with a cotton bud but not if you dont know what you are doing.
You can get iphone docks that use the bottom socket, more expensive though.

A neater solution than using the headphone jack.
Is this the same thing but with a remote control:D?

OP, Re; wireless speakers. I recommend a couple of Bluetooth speakers, as they are far cheaper in comparison and a lot more portable.

You could also consider a bluetooth receiver for your amp\hi-fi .

My stereo/hi-fi doesn't have bluetooth.0 -
No Hifi has bluetooth (although I imagine 1 or 2 new Bluetooth hifi or car stereos might). Hence my suggestion of a Bluetooth reciever for a Hifi, which plugs into your hifi and turns it into a Bluetooth device. My stereo/hi-fi doesn't have bluetooth.
This is handy for playing music via a bluetooth device (mobile phone or computer) directly through your existing hi-fi system.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

So that would plug into the hi-fi & bluetooth wireless speakers would work off it, right?
In the Amazon review the first poster is going on about using it in his car, but I don't understand what hes going on about. Do you have to have the AUX in socket to do what hes going on about?0 -
Are you talking about connecting the ipod to a home stereo system or a car. First post says speakers around the home and then you talk about car stereo.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

No, think of the bluetooth receiver as a CD player that plugs into your amp. A CD Player would use the existing speakers on your Amp. All it is really, is a bluetooth device that allows you to play your music through your Hi-fi via bluetooth - (from phone\laptop).So that would plug into the hi-fi & bluetooth wireless speakers would work off it, right?

It requires no special speakers or separate amp. It plugs in as you would plug in your cd player\tuner\tape deck\video or dvd aux into your existing amp.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I use a bluetooth speaker for picnics out or when gardening outdoors. My bluetooth speaker takes batteries or mains and has a built in (bluetooth receiver) allowing me to play songs from my phone directly to the speaker.
A bluetooth receiver (which is needed when playing songs directly from a mobile phone or laptop) simply plugs into your existing amplifier via the auxiliary inputs at the rear of your amp.
Your car would either need a bluetooth car stereo or an FM transmitter (about a fiver) that would transmit your music via the headphones on your phone, as you tune it in through the radio.
Upto now I am only concentrating on your Hi-Fi, so dont want to confuse you by throwing in FM transmitters and car stereos.
