Vodafone-- FPC debt company won't leave me alone.

This company are driving me round the twist!
My vodafone contract was up in March, I ended early and ported my number mid January to o2 to get some freebies and a better phone. I spoke to Vodafone to confirm that a final bill will be sent to me on 20th Feb, which has happened as planned. I got the bill yesterday, it states I owe X amount and the rest by 6th March.
Since early Feb I've been getting daily calls and texts from FPC debt company demanding my personal details. All of which I refused to give after I Googled the phone numbers all coming up as complete idiots, rude, uncooperative etc. I spoke to some *insert every kind of expletive possible* this morning told him I had paid the bill so leave me alone. Robotically he then continued "Well we have to have your details so we can close the account, oh and you owe an extra 14 quid". He argued the toss saying I didn't have a bill in front of me, the dates wrong, they sent me a bill, which they haven't, 8 days ago. Telling me I had said things I haven't asking me to read the whole letter. Basically telling me I was lying in a subordinate attempt to trip me up over something. I have NEVER dealt with anyone with this attitude at any company before. He then asked me to send them a copy of the bill which I refused.
I have since spoken to Vodafone, the nice lady on the phone told me she's never heard of FPC and the debt is still with Vodafone and the debt hasn't been passed on, which is quite right as that was never the plan anyway. She told me to just ignore them and put the phone down and although the payment hasn't shown up with Vodafone yet it should do in the next few days and not to worry.
I've got the feeling though that this company won't give up no matter what, I reckon from what I've read on the net that I will continue to get calls and texts and probably this illusive letter I was sent and more. We all know where those lead to. I don't want this to damage my Credit rating. I certainly don't want to go out of my way for this company which I have nothing to do with and that's Vodafones position as far as they're concerned.
So what now? Any help or has anyone had any dealings with these people. Should I contact the Ombudsman?

Looking at google it is an agency vodafone use, maybe the advisor who said they didnt hadnt a clue?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
