Also can you request who authorised the pole to be placed there? as surely forms had to be filled in AND signed.
The pole went in before we purchased, and that area was so overgrown that no one even noticed it! :rotfl:At that time Mr Dog had two fairly large leylandii which are still visible on Google Streetview. Once the pole was in, he cut down the leylandii, cleared that area and put a big block shed there. We'd arrived by then, but the pole was so surrounded by brambles & brush I didn't realise it was relatively new.:o0 -
LIR is there something nice you can do to boost your spirits? I know it would be a drop in the ocean however you need to take care of yourself.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

No been feeling like this for a while. To try and control my urges I've emptied my compost bin onto 1 of the beds (hence the earlier post). When we moved in over here over 10 years ago I made a couple of pallet compost bins, sadly these have come to the end of their lives. I really need something rodent proof as we've had a bit of a problem with the larger furries. It doesn't help with the turkeys at Christmas.
I struggle growing veg as I haven't got a greenhouse and when I do grow stuff on the windowsill it always goes leggy and then I can't harden them off.
I have 3 very long beds covered in the weed suppressant stuff. I want to try and plant something but will have to purchase the plants.
Down 1 edge of the garden I have raspberries and rhubarb. I need to renew the wires as 1 of the posts has rotted off at the bottom.
Sorry seem to have got verbal diahorrea.

I am afraid they are going to be victims of my intense rage.
Tonight I am feeling really 'urgh'. Dh is fine with the heating saga fight, but I feel exhausted because its gone on so long. My energy levels have been really low, and I have the background stress about health.
I just want something to be easy, you know?:o. Just something!
I know that feeling.
I'd plan a nice holiday but if the place is going back on the market then that's not really doable.
Ah well, the time for hols is after we sell, I guess. Wonder what the exchange rate will be in 2020? :rotfl:0 -

I think a place being on the market is a great time to go away (if the people who take care of any remainging animals can be trusted not to make a mess.)
My parent who dorsn't live with us has done just this since Christmas. Agents come in a few minutes before to 'stae' with lamps on etc.0 -
While this place doesn't get too dusty or cobwebby I don't think I'd want to not be here to make sure all both inside & out was OK pre-viewings.
I'd also spend the entire holiday worrying that I'd come back to a totally cleared out property. _pale_ With all the details online now it's a burglar's dream. http://www.mypropertyguide.co.uk/articles/display/10098/using-property-websites-to-plan-the-perfect-burglary.htm0 -

In all seriousness, occupancy is little deterrant to 'big house' theft. I would rather not be there than be there ( if I did not have house pets. Risk) when it happens. They rarely come to 'properties of worth' with no form of 'protection'.0 -

True but they know that. more often than not. the residents (particularly in the countryside) tend to have 'protection' of their own & that nowadays the law will back them using it.
When we were on the market in '11 we came back to find a couple sitting in our 'back garden'. Luckily they were above board but the EA had just gone & left them here unattended. It doesn't make for much faith in leaving EAs in charge of keys for a temporarily unoccupied property.
Friends of ours were burgled after holidaymakers visiting a local pub overheard the locals discussing the fact that our friends had gone away to the Olympics abroad. Not a great end to their trip coming home to find they'd been burgled & the place trashed.
When you live in an area where everyone knows your business it pays to be particularly careful.0 -

I need a pump to submerge in the old slurry, and a filter better than the blue barrel wrapped in a sheet that I was using. Any ideas? I need to get some water out to get at more rotted manure soon!

ex left it there saying i may need it which equates to he couldnt be arseded to take it. im out all day tomorow but will look on monday...if there , i dont want it...:D0 -

Let me know then, otherwise I think I have found one on screwfix I'll take a gamble on, but I will hold Off to BUY yours.0
