Equity Income Funds

Hi all,
I'm interested in investing in some Equity Income funds to fill up my ISA allowance for 2011/12. I'm relatively new to investing, so wanted to get people's views on various funds. So far I've read good things about:
- Invesco Perpetual High Income
- Troy Trojan Income
- JO Hambro UK Equity Income
- Newton Higher Income
- Threadneedle have three funds: UK Equity Income, UK Monthly Income and UK Equity Alpha Income
I'm also relatively young and prepared to invest over a long horizon, so if anyone has any views on good funds with a higher risk profile but good potential for better returns I'd love to hear them.
Any advice much appreciated!

All reasonable funds. I wouldn't touch the JOH fund as it has performance fees in addition to annual charges. I believe the Newton has had a poor recent performance.0

Are all these funds UK based?
There are income funds that invest in other markets and putting some of these in the mix would also give you exposure to the potentially better capital growth of those markets. Some of the emerging market funds can gyrate so you do need strong nerves if you're going for these as part of your portfolio.0
