  • My driving licence was changed as soon as I moved.

No actually, I wasn't driving the car.

Or matty, I might actually be annoyed that I have to stump up for something I didn't do!!!! (4 exclamation marks this time)

YOU did the dirty by NOT ADVISING DVLA.
This site is beginning to get stupid.
It is a moneysaving site NOT a "How can I avoid the consequences of MY OWN ACTIONS/INACTIONS!!!!"

Jumping to conclusions again hey Geoff.....?!?

You are all quick to jump to conclusions thinking it was me who was driving, saying I did the dirty!!!

Regardless of who was driving, it's really not a good idea to draw attention to the fact that you'd committed a more serious offence by failing to notify a change of address.

Bear in mind that one of the reasons registration details need to be up-to-date is to be able to trace the owner of a car in situations like a hit-and-run. How would you feel if one of your family was run over, there was a registration number seen, but no-one could find the RK because the details were out of date?

    That's
why failure to notify carries heavier sentencing than a minor speeding offence!

    Not really I think.
You admit you did not advise DVLA so think yourself lucky you do not get that fine (although it may still come through the post as advised above).
I assume you have insurance for driver using the car?
If you do not advise DVLA do you think it is a get out of jail card for any transgressions or how do they find you/driver? telepathy as above?????!!!!!!!
