Lidl fruit trees.

Has anyone bought the Victoria Plum? Hoping I haven't bought a dud. The morello cherry has buds but nothing on the plum.

Not necessarily. The problem with these fruit trees is that you don't know what root stock they are grafted onto so you have no idea how big they will get.

I bought 8 from Aldi last year and they went into large bucket sized pots; some fruited and all looked healthy still so 1 plum, 2 cherries and 2 apples will be grown in the garden now [the cherries and apples as espaliers and the plum just kept to size by pruning carefully] in the ground and the rest left in pots.

I didn't get any Lidl ones this time round as reports came back that they were just sticked, I'll wait and get more from Aldi when the time comes. Morrisons also have had them this week if anyone is still interested.

From what I can tell, the Morello tends to have a more horizontal, open style, while the Stella tends to be narrower and grow more vertically. The latter suits small spaces better.

Again, this depends on the rootstock and the pruning. Prune it to how you want it.

Too early for the plum to be showing signs of life. I bought one from Lidl 2 years ago & it is going strong.
