    The_Fox was his main one.

He also had a play about with Ian Dury - he was so excited about that sockie that he told everyone it was him.

Don't know the third - we could turn this into a quiz.

Haha that is hilarious. I wonder how many other user accounts are his.

  • Putting aside the aspect of chicken and egg for a moment there....

So what you want is for house prices to fall, so everyone can then get a pay cut?

    Is that right?

We don't really have high inflation, certainly not in comparison to what it was from the 60's to late 90's.

Inflation being 2-3 percent above target for a few years is pretty meaningless in the big picture.

No, all I am saying is that there are a dozen third world growing economies that are working for a fraction of the money.
Countries such as China are able to build 30 story hotels in two weeks along with sending men into space, their education is racing ahead of what it was a decade ago, and their workers are probably on a wage a 70% below ours.

    Thats a huge advantage
  • Well in this one he claims wages are too high as well.

So everyone should presumably be volunteering for a pay cut.:)

    Ok you snigger Hamish...

But soon volunteering will not be an issue.
Why is the Uk not getting shiping contracts, why can we not build our own trains, why is steel being made in Asia rather than the UK.

Greece is a good example of what I am talking about, and the rest of the PIGS are probaby the same.
There were worries about Greece a few years ago, but there were voices like you hear today on boards like this "Nah, there is no problem, we can go on forever like this", then ONE day it all comes out, the plan was neve sustainable.

We lend too much for property, we borrow too much for property, we depend too much on property for the economy(even though for a short while I think it might be a good idea now), we consider peoples property debt too much when making policy.

Trust me, I really am not a die hard property bear, IF I am barking up the wrong tree then I want someone to point out the error of my ways.

But too me it is inevitable that the British property market is going to tank, WHY else would internet forums like this be crammed with people watching every move now:)

    Spot on again Foxy.

This internet forum is crammed to the rafters and that proves the property market is going to tank. Definitely why I'm here - I'm bricking it.

Also I've noticed that people avoid the cracks in the pavement when walking past estate agents and crossing themselves when they see a 'For Let' sign.

Now we agree 100% there's no need for you to try and get my post removed;)
