The are endless posts from say one particular poster who would have this board believe that butter would not melt in his mouth and likes to use the word REJOICE all the time. But the main thing I would like to pick up on is his constant mantra of saying after his "GOOD NEWS ARTICLE" is the statement of how all the nasty…

Maybe, but if you are only getting pay rise below RPI, pay freeze or pay-cut. It is still meaningful.

Suppose you have 5% inflation for next three years, your £100 will only be worth £87 in today's term. About 13% decline in value. You might think it is meaningless in big pictures but on personal basic, it is meaningful!
