What really would be good for the uk economy...

The are endless posts from say one particular poster who would have this board believe that butter would not melt in his mouth and likes to use the word REJOICE all the time.

But the main thing I would like to pick up on is his constant mantra of saying after his "GOOD NEWS ARTICLE" is the statement of how all the nasty people who want a crash blah blah blah and how the good news he has just shown us is good for the economy.

Well my biggest interest IS the Uk economy, I have far more interest in that subject than I do on the falling of house price crash.
And without a doubt the biggest obstacle to our competitivness in world trade is the high/over inflated wages that are paid to UK workers, and the reason we have such high wages is to pay for our overpriced property.

How anyone could think high inflation in any area is good for the economy is nuts.

Have you a valid reason for starting yet another new topic stating house prices are too high?

How does this thread differ from all your others stating the exact same thing.

Putting aside the aspect of chicken and egg for a moment there....

So what you want is for house prices to fall, so everyone can then get a pay cut?

    Is that right?

We don't really have high inflation, certainly not in comparison to what it was from the 60's to late 90's.

Inflation being 2-3 percent above target for a few years is pretty meaningless in the big picture.

Well in this one he claims wages are too high as well.

So everyone should presumably be volunteering for a pay cut.:)

  • Guys, I thought we had agreed to stop posting on sockie threads that were designed to just cause rows? Aren't we self moderating anymore?

If anyone posts after this post, then I'm reporting them to the police. :naughty:

I agree about ignoring sockie threads, but I don't consider HSW to be one.

It's a bit sad when they do that.... Lose the argument and then pop up with a new account to start again.

But it's not as bad as opening a dozen accounts to argue with yourself.
