The same has happened to me, thought i could upgrade my plan on the 3rd March and now its changed to 11th April, is there anything i can do?
I'm happy with my iPhone 4 but I'd rather just drop my plan down to one of the cheaper options, i certainly dont get value for money with this £40 a month contract. My 18 month contract started on Dec 2010 btw.0 -
If you want just to save money you don't need any upgrade. Just call them 1 month before your 18 months ends and ask them to switch you to a sim-only tariff you want. Alternatively ask for PAC and they will either put you through to retentions or call you back later. You will possibly be able to negotiate a better sim-only deal.0

I had this problem - my upgrade date had been 27th Feb and then changed to 2 April. I got no joy with Vodafone but managed to upgrade today with phones4u. Have gone with a 24 month contract but happy with my new phone.Debt free and saving :j0

I bet you thought you were getting value for money at the start of the contract when you got your new iPhone though0 -

Have you looked at switching to Giff Gaff if you are happy with your handset? My sis just has as she is happy with her iphone, and they do great SIM only deals and I am told their customer service is excellent. I'm sure they have been featured on here.
In general, I am having a total 'mare with Vodafone constantly changing dates from 90 days, to 50 days to 70 days and then it changes if you do it on the phone, in store, online etc etc etc... Whenever I try to speak to someone I cannot make myself understood, and just get fobbed off. Don't want to have to pay to get out of my contract, but my end date isn't until May, so I either wait with my phon on its last legs or stump up the cash. Boo.0 -

Youv'e never had to contact them then. GG customer sertvice is good if it's a problem the community can answer but slow if it's not. You can only contact them by email not phone.
They are cheap for a reason and no phone support is one of the reasons.Fluffybeanie wrote: »In general, I am having a total 'mare with Vodafone constantly changing dates from 90 days, to 50 days to 70 days and then it changes if you do it on the phone, in store, online etc etc etc... Any early upgrade is at the goodwill of the network it's not a right. It may be dissapointing that the dates changed but as you have no right to an early upgrade thnere is not a lot you can do about it. It's always a poor choice to take and early upgrade as the network can offer a so-so deal knowing if you say no they still have you in contract for the next 2 months and retentinos can probably turn it around in the last month.0
