Or rather than waste your time visiting branches to talk to people who won't really know that much about what savings accounts are available, just have a look at the MSE guide to the best savings accounts.0

I am quite angry about this, i phoned up their helpline explained the situation and this dozy idiot said that application (without taking any personal details from myself) when to underwriters who then approve application.
How can this possibly be? I got a straight YES you can choose any of the current accounts we have on offer when i phoned up to do the application.
To say i'm ******* off would be an understatement.
I know in my eyes who is the dozy one!0 -
It's likely because you're not on a very high income, but seem desperate for credit (like you say, 10+ applications in less than three months is A LOT), so you're probably too much of a risk.
You also may not be showing up on the ER if you only registered a few months ago (which could be the reason for all your other declines)
Just stick with you current bank account, and put the 60K in to a savings account with them!0 -
An 18 year old student / unemployed type with multiple bank accounts and £60,000.
That will set the fraud / money laundering bells ringing.Stop being sarcastic, doesn't suit your style.0 -
The 60k sounds a bit make believe to me......
A bit like Gary coopers business skills( if you can remember him of here.....)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
60k to transfer and 10 applications, money laundering flags seem pleasedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Don't know why he needs to keep applying for credit, 12k from his Nan and now 60k from his brother, he is obviously a rich 18 year old.:pTrueUnitedFan wrote: »Yep, currently in college as well, then go on to Uni after i finish my course.
My Nan has told me she would give me 12k gift don't have to pay it back when i decide to go for it.0 -
He's got a CIFAS marker so it's really not surprising he's been turned down.
