Virgin Increasing Price on House Move Can I Cancel

Hi,
We are moving house in 6 weeks and i phoned virgin to transfer services.
We currently pay £20 a month for 10MB broadband (no phone)
We are moving to an ADSL area so have to have phone line, the lady on the phone said it would cost £27.99 a month for 2.5-7.5MB broadband and evening calls.
Because of this do i now have grounds to cancel without and early cancellation fee seeing as they want to charge higher than what i initially signed up for?
Also £27.99 seems ridiculously high for internet and phone, and internet that is pretty slow in this day and age.

No you can't-you contracted at that price at the current address, if you move then they don't guarantee cable service anywhere else-VM cable only serves about 40% of the country, and moving house does not void your contract. However, why don't you just use the recently announced price rise to cancel your contract without an ETC?
Since Virgin National is just a resold BT service, the prices are much higher.
You might do better to drop VM and start with a decent ADSL provider at the new address. Do an exchange search on www.samknows for the LLU options. No free lunch, and no free laptop
