Poor advice when reporting lost iPhone

I lost iPhone, reported it to O2 asking if mobileme was any help in trying to recover it. Was told no. It had been activated so I now know it may have helped recover the phone with help of police. O2say they don't offer advice on this as it it not their app. Is this reasonable? I've complained thro email have had several replies from many different names on "my care" !!! Won't accept any responsibllity. So fed up! I've been 'the perfect' customer for 7 years, havin 2/3 contracts with them.

They probably don't know much about it and it probably isn't O2's place to tell you. The 'Find my iPhone' App or website is quite good and could have potentially found your phone assuming they didn't switch it off.

Best thing is to have an unlock code and then they have to physically switch the phone off until restored on iTunes as a blank phone to remove your ability to track them.
