+1 For Avast(free) and MBAM(free) I can also recommend looking at Sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com/0

I am using Avira Free and it can have web protection but not email, if you allow the toolbar install. I don't like toolbars as a rule, but because I use Sandboxie I can disable the toolbar in the Sandbox without affecting the internet protection provided by Avira.
The only downside to Avira is the pop up after updates but that is a small price to pay. The best protection for free.0 -

You can get rid of that pop-up (and the annoying American woman's voice) in the settings (something to do with notifications, but I can't remember exactly where).
I'm also using Avira.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
The top two free AVs are Avira and Avast.
Any one of the above used with Malwarebytes is a good combination.0
