Problems with mail app on iPhone

Anyone else having this issue or suggest a fix?
The mail app on my iPhone (the default mail app) crashes whenever I try to send an email.
I can open the app, check for emails, open a message, hit reply, but when I hit send the whole app just crashes, and when I go back in the reply I wrote disappears. It's not in drafts, trash, nowhere!

Have you tried resetting the phone by holding down the power button and menu button at the same time for about 5-10 seconds. Takes a bit of practice to get it right.
You got it wrong if it takes a photo or slide to power off appears.0
