    It sometimes isn't the value of what they offer but just their attitude and how they deal with the situation.

    There was a minor problem. these things can happen anywhere. They resolved it immediately in a professional and fair manner. What else were they supposed to do, according to your friend? Some people are just greedy.

    A lot of places would have just refunded the two dodgy meals. This place went beyond that for the sake of good will. I hope you'll return to them at some point.

    As you said, they dealt with the problem satisfactorily, offered you a choice of solutions, were polite, apologetic. Another vote for happy!
