Nice areas of/ around Northampton

As others have said my preference would be for the villages as they generally have more character. Mawsely is nice if you want a modern house in a village type setting, although I'd stick to the houses at the top of the village as the ones at the bottom end (furthest away from the entrance) were packed in more tightly thanks to George Wipey and the planning inspectorate.
Also the various villages between Kettering and Northampton are quite nice, albeit sometimes a little limited in terms of facilities.0 -

I totally agree with this, more tightly packed and closer to 'Roman Settle' social housing....although I understand the two troublesome families have been ejected!!!
My sister paid under £230,000 for a 4 bed detached in the older part of the village, nearer to the main road. It really is a nice place to live and I have recently purchased a house close to her that I have as a BTL. There is a community centre.....went to the New Year Party....a good night. Also has a medical centre and village shop which I use regularly as it is not too expensive and I believe that 'if you don't use it you will lose it' philosophy.0 -

We're liking 2 properties in Moulton, the roads both seem nice. are there parts to avoid there or is it all pretty good? we're looking around underbank lane and crowberry avenue.
Also still looking for opinions on Broughton, Kettering if anyone knows anything about there?
Thanks again!0
