  • Moulton (central)..although lovely, always get loitering teenagers due to the college main offices and live in quarters being smack back in the middle of the village. Kettering, avoid places near the town centre. Northampton is a bit of a dump in many places too...avoid corby unless it's a well to do area. Likewise for wellingborough.

Thanks Billy, the propertys we're looking at in Moulton are in Crowberry avenue and underbank lane, they seem to be abit further away from the centre so i was hoping for less 'college traffic' there

My sister lived in Thorplands Farm for over 10 years as it was a like a little private estate, but the area around just got worse and the schools for her children were awful. She moved to Mawsley (down the A43 close to Kettering) 'a new build village' just over 3 years ago and her children now go to a school called Montsaye and are all doing really well.

My sister did consider Grange Park and another development very close to it, but the school placements could not be guaranteed and what was available was no better than the Academy at Weston Favell.

My friend lives in Brixworth, it's nice. Big enough to have ammenities like a library and such like but still nice and villagey.

Northampton it's self is due to be redeveloped, new shops, bus station, train station and enterprise zone so if it all goes ahead should improve the town centre massively in the next few years. :j

I wouldn't recommend Duston, but the villages past that are nice. Althorp, The Bringtons, The Bramptons, Harlestone, East Haddon, etc are all lovely villages.
    Oh well...
