PAC code query

Options
I cancelled my 3 contract on 9 Feb but forgot to ask for a PAC code.

When I asked today, they told me that I had to pay additional line rental to 24 March to get the code.

Is this right or are they trying to get rental out of me?

No offers have been mad to keep me either which is disappointing.

they need something active to port the no, so sounds right that they would have to keep the line rental going for another month to me
ask them if they can transfer your number to a pay as you go and then port from the pay as you go
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • I think it is right....sadly!

I just got my PAC code from orange on 26th Jan. I moved to T-mobile and gave them my PAC code to transfer the number. They said my transfer date will be 21st Feb.

But I will have to pay the equivalent of 5 days line rental to Orange as they count the date the PAC code was issued as the date I gave notice to end my agreement with them ( I'm NOT still within a 12/18 contract restriction)

So, becasue I am leaving 5 days "earlier" than the 30 days I pay line rental until the notice period is up.

However, if you gave notice on Feb 9th - Did they say you had to give 30 days notice? I know when I ordered the PAC code that counted as me giving 30 Days notice but if you already have given notice then surely they should issue a PAC code and if you transfer before the notice period they may have gave you you might have to pay .......

I would still try to argue it with them - you said you were leaving, asking for the paC code shouldn't tie you any longer:confused: Good luck!

Yes I had to give 30 days as I was only 11 and a bit months into a 12 month contract. I would have thought I could get a PAC code whch was only valid until my termination date and not the full 30 days.

Ia am still waiting for a 'please stay' offer but it seems not to be coming.....
