Moved provider to giff gaff. Couldn't be happier
I'm so used to getting stupidly high bills on my mobile - I started on a £45/pcm tarrif, which I dropped to £35. I regularly went over my 300 free minutes and in recent months it was £45-70!
Recently came out of contract - a friend cryptically said "giffgaff" on my facebook question of 'who to go with'. I thought he was just commenting on the banality of my question rather than making a recommendation.
I randomly picked someone with a referal link from a forum (so they got a suprise - my friend isn't actually a customer yet) and I've got £5 credit.
So far, I've had a few 3G problems. I'm halfway through the month and I've only actually used about 40 minutes. when my two other friends join at the end of the month I can call them free as well.
Being PAYG means I'm actually being far more frugal with my minutes and now I'm not calling as often to my friends who have wacking big plans, they either offer to ring me back or call me in the first place, which is an added bonus! (not associated other than being a happy customer...)
What I will say though is if you're recommending giffgaff to people, don't be so cryptic and tell them it's a new provider running off the o2 network!
