Have you saved by getting a water meter?

Unmetered £420 yr compared to metered approx £160 yr - single household.0

Big time. I changed years ago and my bill is less than half. Single person in an expensive house, no-brainer.0

When we moved to an area where meters were compulsory, our bills went up by about 20%!0

I've just applied for a meter. I'm paying £600 per year currently. My estimated usage (and I was pessimistic with the web page tool) is in the mid £300s. For the first year, I don't intend to make any effort to save water. I'd like a realistic saving comparison. Beyond, I'll decide whether to make some prudent changes.
The meter gets fitted next month.
I think it's reasonable that water is metered for users. It will make people think twice before wasting it.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
2 of us in a 3 bed semi, metred was less than half RV.
We pay £20 a month, down £3 a month from las year. Extremely glad I changed.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
My family and I are moving house at the end of the month, and I'm considering getting a meter installed.
There will be four of us in a three bed house. My wife and I, my son (3) and my daughter (almost 1). We are what you would call average users, I suppose. We shower, kids have their bed (currently shared), wash the car once a month, etc.
Could we expect to save money, do you think?0 -
Our metered bill is still less than the unmetered one was 12 years ago. Only two in the house so a no brainer really.0
