I don't know how much quidco give but pigsback offer 5 points for every £1 so on a £50 spend you are looking at £2.50.

Another weird thing is that it has tracked through Quidco as an order value of £54.12 when it should be £63.60 (without delivery charge), so giving me a little less cashback than I should get. Anyone else found this?

that's because the cashback is only given on the excluding vat price. If you take the vat element off your order total of £63.60 it is £54.12, so the cashback is calculated on that amount only.

Does anyone here know a bit about wine?!
    Do you have any recommendations?

I'm probably going to get a mixed box or just red wine.

Should I go for one £50 box of 6, or go cheapo and get 2 £25 boxes? (in order to get the 1000 code through)

    Thanks for your help!

Wouldn't profess to be any sort of expert but we know what we like and the Californian red at £25.90 for 12 bottles is fantastic stuff at that price if served at room temp, we decant at least 3 hours before drinking and usually serve Wolf Blass yellow first and then this (Hollywood) Red and most of our friends say how nice it is.

Just placed two orders at £51 each to use 2 different 1000 point codes as we usually do when ever this 20% deal is on.

Minimum order is 12 bottles I think.

To be honest I think Tescos wine selection, like most of the supermarkets is very average with too many big brand name boring wines.

But if you want a decent good value red you can't go far wrong with this one:

    Casillero Del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon
    http://www.tesco.com/winestore/controller.aspx?Bc=0&Btt=Casillero+Del+Diablo&R=6015003&Btk=Descriptors

    Other decent bottles include:

    Red:
Organic Bellane Cotes du Rhone Villages (but was much cheaper in the last offer in December at £21.33 for 6)
Tim Adams The Fergus (excellent, but was also much cheaper in the last offer - £5 per bottle)

    Whites:
    Tim Adams Clare Valley Riesling
    Neil Ellis Stellenbosch Chardonnay

All the wines I have looked at are more expensive than they were in the last 20% off offer, so they must have raised prices in the interim so that they could drop them by 20% for this offer. :(

There's a VALID £15 off code that expires in April, so an excellent opportunity for a bargain

Not sure if anyone has posted on MSE voucher page, but have a look on HDUK and you will find it!

  • Just to make sure I've got this okay in terms of the best deal, please can someone clarify:

    - I buy £50 wine online by midnight tonight.
    - Use a 1,000 point code (please can someone link me to a code - I saw one yesterday but can't find it now).
    - I arrange delivery for the 5-18 March window to get free delivery.

It sounds like I may have to double check the status of the free delivery once I find if I've been charged or not.

    Thanks
