I've just used a £19.90 JTD and practically been accused of fraud by a manager there, absolutely fuming at the mo.

Its probably how I explained it. It doesnt impact how much you get back, but some people when posting think they have spent less then they have. They say for example

    'Shopping spend = £30
    Used JTD voucher = £10
I should get new voucher of £8 after price check'

So they say shopping has cost only £12, but this not true as they are double counting 2 JTD shops. Its easy to do.

When I've had bad service from a T before when using a JTD I complained but it was hopeless. HQ just said its up to the store managers as to weather or not a JTD is accepted. And it is actually in the rules and regs :( The only thing that happesn is that HQ contact the stores and speak to the manager and if customers have recieved bad treatment staff are "retrained".

I had cause to complain about a till staff boy in Asda a few months back, about problems I'd had. I had a very concerned reply from HQ, obvious she had read my email carefully and taken everything on board and a few weeks later a £5 gift card arrived :T Mind you Asda as part of the Wal-mart group is really an American company and they have a different attitude to customer service.

You could mention another reason to do JTD - the Clubcard Points.

Many people here are aware that you don't get things any cheaper when pricechecking against Asda, but they are happy that they are paying the same as Asda plus CC points (the jtd would be spent the next week as part of their normal shop anyway).

Oh, another reason to use JTD is that some MOCs are only valid at Tesco - the SSM ones for instance - not at Asda, allowing the savvy shopper to spend the coupon at Tesco, but pay the Asda price (net result after getting jtd voucher, obviously).

I remember now what i came here to post.

The Loreal Sublime Mousse hair colourants come back as N/A on pricecheck, even though they are £7 in T and £5 in A and appear on both sites. My friend and I bought 2 different colours and neither came up, so I imagine they are still too new to feature on T's pc horizon.

That’s shocking. I was told by one store last week that they’d stopped doing the price check and I said well, you need to take it off your website then – why is it still working on there. She checked with the supervisor and said that he’d said she could put it through on this occasion – like she was doing me a massive favour – huh!

We don't have an Asda anywhere near us, so I just say it's my way of getting the Asda offers in this way.

Here's a pic of the Nero d'avola wine if it helps:

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=nero d'avola red wine

You'll see the silver label round the top of the bottle that says finest on it. I've never yet found it in the fridge with the meal deal - always had to go to the Italian red wine section to find it.

I'm surprised you think mysupermarket is notorious for incorrect prices mhoc. I've only ever found one mistake and that's been on the recent Pilgrim's Choice, where it had the T's price wrong, but then that's easy to spot instore when you see it at the lower price instead. I always just use the mysupermarket list when doing a JTD, but can understand if you want to be doubly sure that way.
